Newcity
Robert Rodi is a seasoned writer and producer currently working at Weigel Broadcasting Co. since September 2015, primarily focused on the daily historical-cultural documentary "Through the Decades." Rodi has authored nine novels and two memoirs, with notable works including "Seven Seasons In Siena" and "Dogged Pursuit," the latter receiving acclaim from the Chicago Tribune. As a freelance journalist, Rodi has contributed literary criticism to prominent publications such as The Chicago Tribune and The Los Angeles Times. In the realm of comics, Rodi has scripted series for major companies including Marvel and DC/Vertigo. Additionally, Rodi has a background in copywriting and editing, working with various clients across industries. Since July 2009, Rodi has been involved in the Chicago jazz scene as a lead vocalist and hosts events, while also serving as the music editor for Newcity, an alternative monthly magazine. Rodi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Rollins College.
