David Boahen

David Boahen is a qualified Geologist with extensive experience in geotechnical and hydrogeological engineering. Currently employed at Newcore Gold since August 2023, David Boahen is responsible for the review of geotechnical and hydrogeological data while conducting site investigations that include drilling and geophysical surveys. Prior roles at Newmont Corporation included serving as a Hydro and Geotechnical Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed the design and implementation of mine dewatering systems, as well as acting as a Health and Safety Representative. David Boahen also interned as a Mine and Exploration Geologist and has been involved in student governance during academic tenure at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, where a Bachelor's in Geological Engineering was obtained. An Associate's Certificate in advanced mining software was achieved from Optimal Resource Mining in 2023.
