Lauren Sparks

Lauren Sparks has a diverse work experience history. Lauren started their career as a Loan Processor in the Accelerated Underwriting Program at NewDay USA in September 2016 and continued until February 2018. Lauren then transitioned to the role of Marketing Analyst for a brief period from February 2018 to June 2018 before becoming a Junior Underwriter from June 2018 to November 2018. Lauren then worked as a VA Underwriter from November 2018 to February 2020 and later as an Assistant Vice President - IRRRL Underwriting from February 2020 to January 2021. Lauren was then promoted to Senior Assistant Vice President - Underwriting in January 2021 and is currently serving as the Vice President of Underwriting at NewDay USA since July 2021.

Outside of their experience at NewDay USA, Lauren worked as a Calculus Tutor at Clemson University from September 2012 to April 2016 and as a Research Intern at IAG - Insurance Applications Group, Inc. in June-August 2015. Lauren also gained experience as a Financial Analyst Intern at Discovery Communications in June-August 2014.

Lauren Sparks earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematical Science from Clemson University - College of Science and Engineering from 2012 to 2016. Lauren also obtained additional certifications including Certified Residential Underwriter (CRU) from Mortgage Bankers Association and SOA Exam P from Society of Actuaries.
