Charlotte Florance Day

Charlotte Florance Day is a consultant on women’s empowerment issues. She previously served as the Senior Advisor to the USAID Administrator and Coordinator of the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) Fund, a $300 million women’s economic empowerment initiative. She also served at the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Energy where she focused on U.S trade and investment issues.

Prior to government service, Ms. Day was the Chief Strategist at To The Market, a rapidly growing start-up building ethical supply chains and market-aggregation platforms powered by women in emerging markets. She has also worked for the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC as the Africa Policy Analyst and contributor to the Index of Economic Freedom. She has lived and worked in the Middle East and Africa.

She Holds a MA in Conflict, Security, and Development from King’s College London and BA in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
