Mike Blaney

Mike Blaney, CLS, CRL, is a seasoned professional in engineering, reliability, and automation, currently serving as Vice President of Engineering, Reliability and Automation at Newell Brands since December 2017. Blaney is responsible for defining and executing a strategic asset management policy that emphasizes automation across a diverse portfolio of goods. Previous roles include Sr. Director of Global Maintenance and Engineering and Global Director of Maintenance & Equipment Optimization, where Blaney focused on standardization and optimization of maintenance processes. Experience also includes serving as Chief Technology Officer at RelyAssist, LLC, and various technical positions in organizations such as C&S Wholesale Grocers, Symbotic, and Spectro Inc. Educational background includes executive education in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a BSEE from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, and an Electronics certificate from Minuteman Tech. Blaney's earlier career includes service in the US Navy as a Cryptologic Technician.
