Sylvia Odom

Nobody knows the meaning of “it takes a village” better than Sylvia Odom, Director of Operations at Comstar. Sylvia credits her success to the great leaders she’s worked with and been mentored by throughout her extensive career in supply chain and vendor operations. With more than 25 years of experience in a variety of industries, including 17 years spent in the automotive electronics industry, Sylvia can adapt quickly and create custom business models that meet best practices.

Sylvia began her career with Comstar in early 2020 to oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and ensure Comstar’s efficient and effective management. Always working with the result in mind, Sylvia has a knack for process improvement and is always striving to streamline and improve systems and processes to benefit the entire Comstar team.

Known for her mastery of scheduling, materials management, and proven track record with improving inventory accuracy and tracking performance, Sylvia’s skills were immediately put to the test with the onset of COVID-19. Her motto to roll with the punches proved to be a philosophy that served her well in the face of uncertainty during the pandemic. In addition to her on-the-job experience, Sylvia holds a certification from Duke University in the 6 Domains of Leadership.
