John Weingardt

John Weingardt is a seasoned Project Engineer with extensive experience in civil engineering, particularly in the design and construction of facilities related to surface mining and open pit mining. Currently employed at NewFields since September 2012, John specializes in heap leach pads, tailing impoundments, and stormwater management. Prior to this role, John worked for AMEC Environment & Infrastructure UK Limited, where responsibilities included the design and oversight of civil earthworks, and before that at Smith Williams Consultants, focusing on geotechnical and design work for mining projects. John's early career includes positions at Alpine Consulting Engineers, Larimer County Engineering Department, and the Colorado Department of Transportation, further strengthening a solid foundation in civil engineering practices. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University.
