Jay Kimmelman is the Co-Founder and CEO of NewGlobe, a position held since July 2008. Prior to this role, Kimmelman worked as a researcher at Emerging Market Research from May 2005 to April 2008, focusing on embedded research in impoverished communities and identifying challenges in the low-cost private school market. Kimmelman served as the President of the Edusoft Division at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt between March 2004 and April 2005, where integration and expansion efforts followed the acquisition of Edusoft. From September 2000 to December 2004, Kimmelman co-founded and led Edusoft, developing a leading assessment platform for US public school districts. Kimmelman earned a B.A. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Harvard University, graduating in 1999.
