Katie Cella

Katie Cella serves as Vice President of Instructional Design at NewGlobe since March 2022, previously holding the position of Senior Instructional Design Director. Cella has extensive experience in instructional design, having worked at Bridge International Academies as Instructional Design Director since July 2017, focusing on curriculum design for primary schools across multiple countries including Nigeria, Uganda, India, Liberia, and Kenya. Other notable roles include Instructional Design Director at NewGlobe from July 2016 to February 2021, and teaching Grade 5 English Language Arts at Excel Academy Charter Schools. Cella's early career includes positions as a Match Corps Tutor, Writing Fellow at Bridge International Academies, and a Teaching Assistant at Cedarville University's Journalism Camp, along with experience as an Editorial Researcher for Foreign Policy magazine. Cella holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Middle Eastern Studies from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from Cedarville University.
