Erika Kateng Appiah

Erika Kateng Appiah is an Underground Drill and Blast Engineer at Newmont Corporation, where responsibilities include leading production meetings and updating drill and blast registers using Deswik software since October 2021. Prior to this role, Erika served as an Underground Mining Engineer (Operations) and gained experience as an Underground Mining Engineer - E.I.T at AngloGold Ashanti. Additional experience includes positions as an Oxygen Plant Technician at Rikair Company Limited, Graduate Mining Engineer during a national service at Newmont Corporation, and a Mining Engineer intern at Perseus Mining Limited. Erika holds a Bachelor of Science and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Mining Engineering at the University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa.
