Felix Kipalan

Felix Kipalan is an experienced manager in environment, social performance, and governance, currently serving as the Manager at Newmont Corporation since November 2023, after a long tenure at Newcrest Mining from March 2014 to November 2023 where responsibilities included overseeing strategic advice and management for several key operations in Papua New Guinea. Felix's extensive career includes various leadership roles beginning at Lihir Gold Limited, where responsibilities ranged from Environmental Officer to Superintendent, focusing on sustainable development and environmental management. Additionally, Felix co-founded Eco Services and served as a board member for Commonwealth Study Conferences and The Voice Inc., emphasizing contributions to community development and youth programs. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Sustainability from the University of Leeds and a BSc in Earth Sciences from the University of Waikato.
