Luis Heredia

Luis Heredia is an accomplished electrical engineer with extensive experience in high voltage, low voltage, and instrumentation process control within the mining industry. Currently serving as an Electrical Engineer Technical Advisor at Newmont Corporation since January 2024, Luis has previously held significant roles including Bagging Plant Superintendent at Oyu Tolgoi LLC, Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Advisor at Rio Tinto, and Concentrator Project Manager at Oyu Tolgoi LLC, where leadership in project management and cross-functional teams were key highlights. Early career experience includes positions as Plant Maintenance Superintendent and Instrumentation General Foreman at Empresa Minera San Cristobal S.A. Luis holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Universidad Técnica de Oruro and a master's degree in Electrical and Power Electrical Systems from ISPJAE in Havana, Cuba.
