Mark Carlisle

Mark Carlisle is an experienced metallurgist and engineering professional with a robust background in the mining and processing industries. Currently serving as Director of Processing at Newmont Corporation since February 2018, Mark has previously held significant roles at FL Smidth as Process Manager - Concentrators, and at Anglo American, where responsibilities included managing large Nickel Laterite Leach process development projects and providing technical oversight in various metallurgical operations. Mark's early career included leadership positions at Anglo Platinum, Crown Gold Recoveries, and De Beers Diamond Research Laboratories, showcasing a comprehensive expertise across platinum, gold, and base metals. Mark holds an MBA from the University of the Witwatersrand, a BComm in Operations Research and Industrial Psychology from the University of South Africa, and a BSc in Metallurgy - Minerals Processing from the University of the Witwatersrand.
