Matthew McManus

Matthew McManus currently serves as Exploration Superintendent at Newmont Corporation since November 2023, having previously held the same title at Newcrest Mining from April 2023 to November 2023 and Pretium Resources Inc. from August 2012 to March 2023. McManus has extensive experience in underground geology program development, geotechnical management, geological data management, and coordination of daily mining activities. Prior roles include Exploration Geologist at Overland Resources Limited and Northern Tiger Resources, as well as a Soil Sampler at Pacific Ridge Exploration. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Victoria and has completed studies at Camosun College and North Island College.
