Julius Herron possesses extensive experience in the utilities sector, currently serving as an inspector for Newnan Utilities. Additionally, Julius has co-owned J & L Backflow, INC since November 1992, where responsibilities include testing, installing, and repairing backflow assemblies. Julius is also involved in fire hydrant maintenance and holds certifications in water distribution and wastewater. Furthermore, Julius serves as a CDL trainer.

From the first flicker of electricity that lit a downtown Newnan street corner, Newnan Utilities has been committed to delivering the services that enhance the quality of life throughout Coweta County. As we enter our second century, Newnan Utilities continues to light and lead the way in more ways than most local utility providers. In 2017, Newnan Utilities leadership decided it was time to take our charitable giving to the next level. In an effort to be more purposeful in our charitable giving and to partner with our customers on a grander scale, we established the Newnan Utilities Foundation and a unique opportunity to give through the Caring Customers program.
