James Parks

James Parks is a seasoned cyber security professional with extensive experience in enterprise information security management. Currently serving as Global Cyber Security Manager at Newpark since September 2019, James is responsible for overseeing cyber security initiatives at an enterprise level. Previously, as IT Security Operations Manager, James led daily security operations and ensured readiness of security monitoring systems. James's career includes significant roles such as Information Security Officer at Minerals Technologies Inc., where strategic security maturity was developed, and Technical Project Manager at AMCOL International, where project management and business analysis were performed. In earlier positions, James provided comprehensive IT solutions as a Senior IT Consultant and held multiple management roles focused on service desk operations and IT support. James holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a focus on International Relations from Queen's University and completed practical training in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications at Shaw College.
