Michael Sparks

Michael Sparks started their work experience in 1991 as a Senior Director of Global Sales at Newpark Resources, Inc. Michael was responsible for various projects involving wetlands access, ground stabilization, load distribution, and environmental impact mitigation. Michael also worked in the renewable energy sector, specifically in solar, wind, electrical transmission, and pipeline projects. In 2004, they became the VP of Sales and Marketing for the Newpark SOLOCO Division until 2007. In 2009, they joined the Texas Historical Foundation as a Member of the Board of Directors. Michael contributed to various preservation endowment projects related to arts, archaeology, architecture, artifacts, and education. Michael'stenure at the Texas Historical Foundation ended in 2021.
