Mihai Eduard Coman

Mihai Eduard COMAN has extensive experience as a drilling fluids engineer, working for various companies in different locations. Their most recent role was as a Lead Drilling Fluids Engineer at Newpark, where they worked on the challenging Saudi Aramco Non Conventional Jafurah project, successfully drilling over 20 horizontal wells. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Drilling Fluids Engineer at Newpark, working on horizontal wells in the Burgan Oil Field and Ratqa area, as well as completing two deep drilling wells in the Umm Gudair field. Mihai Eduard also held senior positions at M-I Drilling Fluids Vietnam, MI Gulf Services Dubai, and M-I SWACO Thailand. Overall, they have a strong background in drilling fluids engineering and has consistently delivered successful projects throughout their career.

Mihai Eduard COMAN completed a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum from Universitatea Petrol-Gaze din Ploiești from 1999 to 2004. Prior to that, they achieved a College Degree in Computers from Ploiești, Romania, between 1995 and 1999. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications related to their field, including OFITE General Maintenance, Repair and Calibration for Testing Equipment from OFITE Middle East and North Africa Region in 2022, Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) and SCBA from Arabian Safety Training Centre in 2020, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Skillsoft in 2020, and Drilling Fluids Engineer from MI SWACO Houston in 2005. Mihai Eduard also holds certifications such as Computer Analyst, Programmer, and Operator from the Romanian Ministry of Education, IFE Certified from M-I SWACO, and IWCF - Level 1 from the International Well Control Forum.
