John Parran, M.S., SHRM-SCP has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.
John is currently the Founder of Trailblazer Development, a company that provides coaching, training, and team-building services to individuals, teams, and organizations.
Prior to that, John served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief People Officer at NewPath Child & Family Solutions (formerly St. Joseph Orphanage). In these roles, they led HR and culture change functions, including strategic planning, organizational design, and change management.
Before their time at NewPath, John worked at Meritor as the Manager of Talent Management. John was responsible for leading employee engagement, change management, and talent development initiatives.
John also has experience in the education sector, having worked at Gateway Community and Technical College. John served as a Program Coordinator for Supply Chain Management, driving enrollment and student engagement. Additionally, they worked as a Workforce Development Liaison, creating custom-tailored training solutions for local organizations.
Earlier in their career, John held various sales roles at TSC Apparel, including Outbound Sales Manager, National Account Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Account Executive, and Outbound Sales Lead. In these roles, they focused on strategic account growth, partnership coordination, and sales management.

John Parran, M.S., SHRM-SCP, completed their education at two institutions. From 2015 to 2017, they attended Northern Kentucky University and earned a Master's Degree in Executive Leadership and Organizational Change. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2005, they studied at the University of Cincinnati and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication, General.
In addition to their formal education, John has acquired several certifications. In January 2020, they obtained a certificate in Foundations of Positive Psychology from the Coursera Course Certificates. John also holds the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM, although the specific time of acquisition is unknown. Furthermore, in August 2016, they became a Certified Logistics Technician Instructor through the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council. Lastly, in January 2016, they achieved the designation of Certified Associate in Project Management from PMI.
