Chris Alderton

Chris Alderton has diverse work experience in the swimming industry. Chris currently serves as the Head Swimming Coach at Newport Live, a position they have held since 2022. Before that, in 2021, they founded their own organization called "It's a Journey". From 2017 to 2022, they were the Head Coach at Team Bath AS. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Swimming Coach at the University of Bath from 2010 to 2017. Chris also has experience as a Head Swimming Coach and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Monkton Combe School from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant Swimming Coach at Aquae Sulis Performance Swimming Club from 2010 to 2012. Chris started their career as a Professional Athlete in Swimming at UK Sport from 2003 to 2010. Chris also worked as a Team Kellogg Ambassador at Kellogg Company from 2005 to 2008.

Chris Alderton completed their education from 1999 to 2003 at St Hilds Church of England School in Hartlepool, United Kingdom. Afterward, they attended The Southport School on the Gold Coast, Australia from 2003 to 2005, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. Later, they pursued a BSc in Sport Performance from the University of Bath from 2010 to 2013, specializing in Sports and Exercise.
