Alan Beyer, MD, FACS, currently serves as the Medical Director at Hoag Orthopedic Institute since 2010 and holds multiple positions at the Orthopedic Surgery Center of Orange County, including Governing Board Member, Board Chair, and Surgical Director since 1999. In addition, Alan Beyer has been the Executive Director of the Orthopedic Center of Excellence at Hoag Memorial Hospital since 2008 and an Orthopedic Surgeon at Newport Orthopedic Institute since January 2002, specializing in sports injuries of the knee and shoulder, cartilage restoration, and osteoarthritis of the knee. Alan Beyer completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in 1981-1982 and served as Chief Resident in Orthopedics at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases from 1977 to 1981, following an internship at Long Island Jewish Medical Center from 1976 to 1977. Alan Beyer earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and holds a degree from Queens College, obtained between 1968 and 1972.
