Gary Walster

Gary Walster is an experienced mining professional currently serving as Site Manager at Newrak Mining (Pty) Ltd since July 2022. Prior roles include Mine Overseer at Refilwetshepiso and Capital Development Services (Anglo American) from 2018 to 2022, where Gary specialized in Drop Raising and Wide Raising in the mining sector, and currently conducts drilling and blasting of ore passes. Throughout Gary's career, significant positions included Underground Manager at Anglo American South Africa, where Gary initiated the Drop Raise Division and implemented innovative drilling methods. Additional experience encompasses operational and managerial roles across various mining companies since 1999, culminating in the establishment of a personal business in long hole drilling and blasting. Gary holds a Mine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency and has completed multiple professional courses aimed at enhancing expertise in the mining industry.
