Yakun C.

Yakun C. has diverse work experience in design and product roles. They are currently working at NewsBreak as a Design Lead - Content. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Designer - Growth Team and Senior Product Designer at the same company. Yakun also has previous experience at Microsoft, where they held roles as a UX Designer II, UX Designer, and Visual Designer in the Office Shared Design teams. They worked at Rhode Island School of Design as a Technical Assistant and interned at (add)ventures as a 3D Animator. Yakun also interned at Microsoft as a UX Designer and worked as a Co-Founder and Lead Designer at IGO LLC and Axcel Studio, inc. In addition, they served as a Graphic Designer at UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and as a Design Assistant at Engineering Impact Guangzhou LC.

Yakun C. obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Design Media Art from UCLA, where they attended from 2012 to 2015. Following this, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Digital Media at the Rhode Island School of Design from 2015 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Yakun C. also obtained a certification in "Accessibility in Action" from Microsoft Accessibility in November 2020.
