Alexis Carey

Alexis Carey is an experienced journalist and commissioning editor with a diverse background in media. Since November 2017, Alexis has served as the Commissioning Editor at news.com.au, overseeing the acquisition of engaging content and writing opinion pieces on current issues. Previous roles include Senior Reporter, Finance Editor, and Finance Reporter at Mamamia Women's Network, where responsibilities encompassed writing, interviewing, and social media management. Alexis has also worked as a Branded Content Executive, Journalist at Inner West Courier and Penrith Press, and began a journalism career at The Area News. Alexis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media and Communications from the University of Sydney, completed in 2009.
