Mike Meara

Mike Meara is the current President of Broadcast at News-Press & Gazette Co. Inc.

Mike has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance. Mike began their career as a Consultant for The NutraSweet Company in 1994 and then became a Sr. Advisor for KPMG Advisory in 1995. In 1998, Mike transitioned to Deloitte where they continued to work as a Sr. Advisor until 2003. The following year, Mike took on the role of Corporate Financial Reporting Lead for Accenture where they were responsible for the consolidated accounting close, consolidated financial results and the preparation and review of financial statements for quarterly & annual SEC filings. In 2005, Mike left Accenture to join KPMG LLP as the Director of Accounting Advisory Services. While at KPMG, Mike assisted multinational and mid-size corporations with debt, equity and M&A transactions including: IPOs, SPAC mergers, SEC filings, 144A offerings, post-merger integration of accounting operations, conversion to US GAAP or IFRS, and streamlining the financial close process.

Mike has a wealth of experience in both public and private accounting and has demonstrated their ability to lead and manage teams through successful completion of complex projects. Their experience will be invaluable as they take on their new role as President of Broadcast at News-Press & Gazette Co. Inc.

Mike Meara has an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BBA in Accounting from Texas McCombs School of Business. Mike is also a Certified Public Accountant from New York and Texas.

Mike Meara reports to David Bradley, Chairman & CEO. They work with Michael Fabac - Director, News & Marketing, Brian Bradley - President, and Tony Courtwright - Director, Digital Media.
