NewsBridge is a citizen driven intelligence solution designed to close one of Africa’s most persistent structural gaps: under reporting in marginalized communities. We use a WhatsApp based reporting system with AI integrated into the information processing pipeline to transform raw citizen submissions into translated, verified and newsroom ready intelligence. The platform gives citizens a safe and accessible pathway to the media and equips journalists with structured ground truth from places they cannot reach. This directly addresses the language, accessibility, and visibility barriers that have historically prevented community voices from entering reporting systems in real time.
