Tony Sloan

Tony Sloan is an experienced news professional currently serving as a News Reporter at NewsChannel 5 Network since June 2023. Previously, Tony worked as a News Anchor and News Reporter at WHBQ FOX13 Memphis, where responsibilities included presenting news stories and interviewing public figures. Tony's career also includes roles as a News Reporter at WTVM News Leader 9 and as an Assignment Editor at WATN- Local 24 Memphis/CW30 News/WJKT Fox 16. Earlier experience includes reporting for 89.5 WMOT Roots Radio and holding the position of Chapter Secretary for the National Association of Black Journalists. Tony began the journey in journalism with an internship at WMC-TV and has also hosted a game show. Tony holds a Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University.
