Aliya Gifford

Aliya Gifford is a Lead Business Intelligence Engineer at Newsela. Prior to this, Aliya worked as a Data Analyst at OkCupid and Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Aliya also has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University, a Research Assistant at Kennedy Krieger Institute, and as a Teaching Assistant at Nashville Software School. Aliya holds a Ph.D. in Medical Imaging from Vanderbilt University, a Master's degree in Physics from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Randolph College.
