Danielle Sweetman has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Danielle started their career as a Substitute Teacher at Bellevue Union School District, where they planned and collaborated on daily lesson plans, maintained a positive learning environment, and facilitated lessons. Danielle then worked as an Elementary School Teacher at San Francisco Unified School District, where they taught and guided students from August 2011 to July 2014. Following this, they joined Redwood City School District as an Elementary School Teacher, where they developed stimulating learning environments and promoted student achievement through formative and summative assessments.
In 2015, Danielle transitioned to the corporate sector, joining Newsela. Danielle started as a School Coordinator and progressively moved up to various roles, including Manager of Onboarding and Engagement, Manager of School Engagement, and then Manager of Learning & Engagement, West. Danielle further advanced to the role of Senior Manager of Customer Success, West, and subsequently became the Senior Manager and later Director of Customer Success Strategy. Currently, they serve as the Director of Customer Programs and Operational Change Management at Newsela.
Danielle Sweetman completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies at Sonoma State University from 2006 to 2010. Danielle then pursued a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in Elementary Education and Teaching at the same university from 2010 to 2011.
