Diana Eromosele Robinson

Diana Eromosele Robinson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Diana is currently working at Newsela as a Lead Software Engineer, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2020 to July 2022. Diana joined Newsela as a Software Engineer in June 2018 and was promoted from a Junior Software Engineer, a role they held from June 2017 to June 2018.

Before joining Newsela, Diana co-founded and served as the CEO and Founding Software Engineer at Categorized, a web application that categorizes qualifying tweets from politicians and key influencers. Diana held this position from January 2017 onwards.

In 2017, Diana also had a Software Engineer Fellowship at Newark Venture Partners, where they provided software development support to the start-ups in the accelerator's Spring 2017 cohort. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer Teaching Fellow at Codecademy from March 2017 to May 2017.

Prior to transitioning into the tech industry, Diana had experience in journalism and communications. Diana worked as a Staff Writer at TheRoot.com from June 2013 to April 2016. Diana also had an Editorial Fellowship at CNN in September 2011. From an earlier period in their career, Diana worked as a Communications Coordinator at the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools from 2009 to 2011 and as a Communications Specialist at Direct Impact from 2008 to 2009.

Diana Eromosele Robinson holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from Duke University. Diana also has a Master's in Professional Studies in Journalism from Georgetown University. Additionally, they completed an accelerated full-stack software engineering course at Dev Bootcamp.
