Liezl van Riper

Liezl Van Riper has extensive experience in the field of development and fundraising for various organizations. Liezl is currently serving as the Chief Development Officer (CDO) at New Story. Prior to this, Liezl was a Founding Partner at Raise Up Advisory, where they accelerated fundraising for social enterprises and non-profits by strategizing partnerships and providing guidance on fundraising strategies and operations. Before that, they were the Vice President of Development at myAgro, where they significantly increased philanthropic revenue. Liezl also served as the Director of Development at Kiva.org, where they raised millions of dollars in grants and revolving loan capital from corporate partners and played a crucial role in establishing Kiva's NYC office. Earlier in their career, Liezl worked as the Director of Development at KickStart International, where they created and sustained funding partnerships and collaborated with senior management to advance PRI/working capital loan partnership. Liezl also served as the Director of Corporate & Strategic Initiatives at the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, establishing successful corporate partnerships and organizing site visits for pharma-sector CSR programs. Liezl's experience also includes working at the National Academy Foundation as an Associate in Development & Special Events and at AEON Corporation as an English Language Teacher.

Liezl Van Riper holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from UC Irvine. Liezl'sHonors Thesis focused on the '60s Black power movement in the US. Prior to that, they attended Diamond Bar High School.
