Sophia O'Rourke

Sophia O'Rourke is an experienced HR and People & Culture leader with a robust background in driving organizational growth and diversity. Currently a Troop Member at TroopHR since June 2024, Sophia previously served as the Director of People & Culture at New Story, where key accomplishments included establishing the company as a legal employer in Mexico and creating a global compensation philosophy. Prior roles include Head of People & Culture at The Scalable Company, where Sophia led a successful transition to remote work, and Director of People & Culture at DigitalMarketer, achieving a 3x increase in headcount. Sophia's earlier experiences span public relations and administrative support, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in English and History of Art from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in Communications from Kent State University.
