Harry May-Bedell is a Creative Associate at NEWSUBSTANCE since September 2023 and a Brand Strategy Consultant since January 2020, providing consultancy to various creative businesses. Previous experiences include roles as a Creator & Writer at Wall to Wall and as a Creative Associate at Lord Whitney, where significant contributions included developing creative strategies for major clients and leading a comprehensive business rebranding initiative. Harry also participated in talent development schemes such as FLEX and SCRATCH ME, contributing to original series and short films. Prior experience includes positions in brand communication and account management at Brass and twentysix, complementing an educational background in Contemporary Dance from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

We occupy a space where design meets drama, yielding creativity to challenge, engage and amaze its audience across global ceremonies, creative installations, festivals and theatre. From bespoke commissions, to creative direction or pure fabrication, we build from a strong performance point of view and engineering perspective, propelled by the principle that every aspect of our work has to perform. We take a strategic approach to our thinking, whether we are taking a lead on creative or collaborating with multiple stakeholders to realise a vision. As a studio that offers ideation, design, fabrication and installation, our team prides itself in always pushing the limits of creative and technological innovation. We have extensive experience of working on ambitious, high profile projects that have multiple stakeholders, running to tight schedules, and our teams thrive in the live environment.
