Headquartered in New York City, Newsweek also publishes international editions in EMEA and Asia. 

Newsweek is seeking an experienced and motivated account manager to join our media company. You will be responsible for managing the relationships with our clients, from pre-sales to post-sales, with a timely, white-glove service. You will also be involved in generating new business opportunities and expanding our client base by prospecting new accounts. 

Responsibilities 

 

Pre-Sale 

  • Work with Sales and Marketing teams to address RFPs, pull audience data for presentations and proposal materials using Google Analytics and ComScore 
  • Communicate with sales team and clients to understand their needs and goals, and provide them with tailored solutions and proposals 
  • Research and analyze the market trends and competitors, and provide insights and recommendations to the management 
  • Put together media plans based on clients’ needs/requests working with Ad Ops 
  • Meet with Sales team to advise on all other sales efforts, proposals, custom ideas, and opportunities across the team 

Post-Sales 

  • Coordinate across internal Newsweek teams, such as sales, creative solutions, editorial, social, ad operations and finance to ensure timely launch of campaign 
  • Be the single point of contact with external agency and client for activation and launching of campaigns 
  • Monitor and report on the performance and results of the campaigns, and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement 
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling 
  • Present post campaign results in wrap up reports for major programs 
  • Build deck with screenshots after the campaigns goes live 
  • Build case studies by verticals for successful executions 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, business, or related field 
  • At least 3 years of experience in account management or agency service in the media industry 
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented 
  • Impeccable Project Management skills, working across multiple business units 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
  • Experience building and optimizing media plans a must 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and other relevant tools 

 

Salary expectation: $65,000- $95,000 commensurate with experience
