Kevin O'Brien

Kevin O'Brien has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in software engineering. Kevin is currently employed as a Backend Software Engineer at NewsWhip since June 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Mid-Level Software Engineer at Edge by Ascential from November 2021 to June 2022.

Before joining Edge by Ascential, Kevin served as a Mid-Level Software Engineer at Poppulo from April 2020 to November 2021. Kevin also held the position of Junior Software Engineer at Poppulo from April 2019 to March 2020.

Kevin gained valuable experience as a Graduate Software Tools Engineer at Analog Devices from June 2018 to April 2019. Kevin had previously completed a Software Engineer Internship (co-op) at Analog Devices from May 2016 to January 2017.

In addition to their software engineering career, Kevin had a prior role as an Amatuer Jockey from July 2002 to June 2012 when they were self-employed.

Kevin O'Brien obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Systems from the University of Limerick, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. In addition to their academic qualification, they also obtained a certification as a Qualified Jockey from Horse Racing Ireland in September 2002.
