Sammy Banks is a Major with extensive law enforcement experience, currently serving at the Newton County Sheriff's Office since February 2006 in various roles including Uniform Division Commander and Detention Administrator. Previous positions at the Newton County Sheriff's Office also included Deputy Sheriff Corporal and Deputy Sheriff, where responsibilities involved law enforcement duties. Prior to this, Sammy Banks worked as a Fraud Analyst for the US Inspector General from July 1997 to January 2006 and was the Police Chief at the Lake City Police Department from January 1992 to March 1997. Additionally, Sammy Banks has experience at the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office in various capacities from January 1987 to February 1992.
