Sophie Dermaux

Sophie Dermaux is an accomplished professional currently serving as a Newton Scholar at the Newton Venture Program, which aims to diversify the venture investment landscape. As the TPM Lead at Captify®, Sophie manages multiple engineering programs focused on enhancing advertising data classification and machine learning data quality. Additionally, Sophie leads a cross-company AI initiative to implement automation tools and serves as the Interim Chief of Staff, overseeing executive reporting and communication within the C-Suite. Previously, Sophie was a Senior Technical Programme Manager at Onfido, where important cross-functional programs, including Data Ethics, were managed. Sophie began a career as a Software Engineer at Onfido, contributing to the development of an internal document management platform. Sophie holds a Masters in Corporate Communication from IE Business School and a degree in Art and Design from the University of Leeds.
