Meghan DeLucia DVM, DACVIM is a seasoned veterinary professional with extensive experience in internal medicine and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Recruiting Medical Advisor at PetVet Care Centers since October 2024, Meghan focuses on enhancing recruitment, retention, and advanced training for veterinary doctors across a national network. As the Medical Director and Internal Medicine Specialist at Newtown Veterinary Specialists since May 2016, Meghan ensures the highest standards of veterinary medicine are practiced in a specialty facility with 24/7 emergency care. Previously, Meghan worked as an Internal Medicine Specialist at Katonah Bedford Veterinary Center and Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center, providing advanced medical care for critically ill pets and supporting pet owners through challenging situations. Meghan's foundational education includes a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Loyola University Maryland.

Newtown Veterinary Specialists (NVS) provides a broad range of high-level emergency critical and specialty care for when your dog or cat becomes ill or injured and your primary care veterinarian is unavailable. Our facility is equipped with advanced diagnostic, therapeutic, and monitoring equipment to provide state-of-the-art medical and surgical care. At NVS, you and your pet will be treated with the utmost care, compassion, and respect. Our on-site team of experienced emergency veterinarians and dedicated technicians will keep you informed of your pet's condition every step of the way. In addition to emergency care, many of our patients are referred to us by their primary care veterinarians for advanced diagnostics, intensive care, or specialty procedures such as ultrasonography and emergency surgical intervention. We also offer advanced therapeutic techniques such as oxygen therapy, transfusion therapy, continuous EKG monitoring, and supportive care. Our primary goal is to provide optimal medical, surgical, and emergency care to our patients, while nurturing the bonds between pet owners, their pets, our practice, and referring veterinarians.
