Jennifer Hawks Bland

Jennifer Hawks Bland is the current CEO at NewYork BIO. Jennifer has previously worked as Senior Director, State Government Affairs at Merck from December 2008 to November 2009. From August 2012 to April 2018, they were the Executive Director, Government Relations & Policy and Counsel at Merck. From January 2009 to August 2012, they served as the Senior Director, Government Affairs & Policy at Merck. Prior to that, they were the Federal Government Relations at GlaxoSmithKline from January 2006 to December 2008.

Jennifer Hawks Bland started their educational career by obtaining a B.A. in Political Science from Mississippi State University. Jennifer then went on to obtain a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
