Shamala Riggs

Shamala Riggs is an accomplished talent acquisition and organizational development professional with extensive experience across various sectors. Currently serving as the Group Talent and Organisational Development Manager and Group Talent Acquisition Manager at NEX Building Group since January 2022, Shamala is responsible for developing and executing talent acquisition strategies across the organization. Prior to this role, Shamala was the Talent Acquisition Manager at the Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta, overseeing a team responsible for talent strategy across 80 schools. Shamala also held key positions at Nutrien Ag Solutions, including Talent Attraction & Sourcing Manager following the merger with Ruralco Holdings, and served as Senior Recruitment Business Partner at Fletcher Building. Earlier career experiences include roles at Estate Properties of Australia and Hudson, where Shamala developed expertise in recruitment processes and team leadership. Shamala holds a Graduate Diploma in Psychology from Monash University and a Bachelor's Degree in Asian Studies and Japanese Language from The Australian National University.
