Wangshu Sun started working as a Frontend Developer Intern and UI/UX Designer Intern at HCI Lab, Southeast University in October 2014 and continued until July 2015. During this time, they developed departmental websites, created scalable portfolios, and participated in UI/UX design for various websites and desktop applications. They used HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Git, jQuery, Bootstrap, Sass, Ruby, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Axure for their work.
From June 2016 to August 2017, Wangshu Sun served as a Research Resident (Software Developer) at OpenBCI. Their responsibilities included EEG algorithm research, software development for scalable widgets, and user interface (UI) design. They designed an EEG attention algorithm using Processing (Java) and developed scalable widgets, including the Focus Widget.
Starting in December 2017 and ending in April 2022, Wangshu Sun worked at Super Free Games as a Game Software Engineer. During this time, they contributed to game feature development, UI implementation, level generation, tool creation, performance and code optimization, animation and VFX, and sound design for multiple mobile game titles. They collaborated with a multidisciplinary team consisting of engineers, product managers, game designers, artists, and QA personnel.
Since May 2022, Wangshu Sun has been employed at Nex as a Software Engineer.
Wangshu Sun completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Biomedical Engineering from Southeast University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Wangshu then pursued a Master of Professional Studies degree in Interactive Telecommunications at New York University from 2015 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Wangshu Sun also obtained certifications in "Planning a Career in User Experience" and "Programming Foundations: Data Structures" from Lynda.com in November 2017.
