Cristhian Mendoza

Cristhian Mendoza has a diverse work experience in the field of geology. Cristhian began their career at Newmont Corporation in 2010, where they received training and worked on mapping, sampling, and geological logging projects. Cristhian then moved on to LA ARENA S.A, where they focused on relogging and logging diamond drill holes, as well as developing geological-structural models and interpreting alterations.

Mendoza also worked at Anglo Peruana Terra S.A, Shahuindo Sac, and Silver Standard Resources Inc. as an Exploration Geologist. In these roles, they were responsible for various tasks such as geological modeling, geostatistical analysis, generation of drilling projects, and geological mapping.

In 2016, Mendoza took on the role of a University Teacher at Universidad Nacional de Cajamarca/ Universidad Privada del Norte, where they shared their knowledge and expertise with students.

Most recently, Mendoza has been working at Nexa Resources as a Senior Exploration Geologist and has recently been promoted to the position of Chief Exploration Geologist.

Cristhian Mendoza completed a specialization in Project Management at ESAN Graduate School of Business from 2020 to 2021. Mendoza also obtained a Master's degree in Economic Geology from Universidad Católica del Norte from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, Mendoza completed a diploma in Economic Geology from INTERCADE in 2012. Mendoza's undergraduate education was completed at Universidad Nacional de Cajamarca, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering from 2004 to 2010. Additionally, Mendoza obtained a certification in Economic Geology from Cámara Minera del Perú in 2012.
