Leonardo Coelho

Leonardo Coelho has an extensive work history in the mining industry. Leonardo is currently employed as the SVP Mining at Nexa Resources, a position they have held since May 2017. Prior to joining Nexa Resources, Leonardo worked at AngloGold Ashanti for many years, holding various management positions. Leonardo was the General Manager for Cuiaba e Lamego Operations from January 2014 to May 2017, and the General Manager for Corrego do Sitio Operations from April 2011 to December 2013. Before that, they worked as a Mine Manager, Chief of Mine Planning, Mine Coordinator, and Mine Engineer at AngloGold Ashanti from 2002 to 2011.

Leonardo Coelho's education history includes an Executive Program in Changing Leadership in Complex Organizations from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2019, a Digital Transformation Programme from INSEAD in 2018, and a STC in Management from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in 2015. In 2008-2009, they attended Fundação Dom Cabral for Compartilhar, and in 2004-2005, they studied IMDP - Intermediate Management Development Programme at the Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town. Leonardo Coelho obtained a Mine Engineer degree from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais from 1996 to 2001.
