Itay Barel

Itay Barel is the Head of Data Science and Software Development at NEXA3D, where Itay leads the development of NexaX print preparation software. As an Algorithms Developer and Data Scientist, Itay developed algorithms for improved print performance using computer vision and deep learning techniques. Previously, Itay worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Santa Barbara and as a PhD student at Tel Aviv University focusing on nanotribology, protein folding dynamics, and computational biophysics. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Physics and Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Physical Chemistry, Itay has excelled in research and development across multiple industries.
