Koen Van Gucht has a wealth of experience in the field of sales and marketing, particularly in the power cables and telecommunications industries. Koen began their career in 1992 as an HV Field Engineer at Electrabel, and then moved on to work as a Superintendent at Fabricom. In 1997, they joined Alcatel Government Solutions as a Project Manager, before transitioning to Nexans in 1998. At Nexans, Koen held several roles including Division Manager Power Cables Services & Projects, Sales Marketing Director, and Sales and Marketing Director - International Key Account Manager. Koen is currently serving as the Key Account Program Director.

Koen Van Gucht's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Electro Mechanics from THOKT, completed from 1989 to 1992. Koen also participated in various executive programs and classes, such as the Executive Class at Antwerp Management School in 2005-2006, the Advanced Sales Management program at Belgium Jobs in 2006-2007, and the Middle Management Development Program at ESSEC Business School in 2007-2008.
