Narasimham Vempati

Dr. Narsi Vempati is Nexant’s SVP, Grid360 Software and is responsible for leading delivery and support of the company’s transmission and distribution network analysis applications and financial transmission rights systems for various North American ISOs. Dr. Vempati oversees multi-disciplinary teams responsible for the creation of business requirements as well as the design, development, testing, delivery, and implementation of comprehensive web-based systems and applications. He has more than 22 years of experience in the electric power industry, including research and development, product testing, and customer training and support. In his career, Dr. Vempati has designed and developed analytical techniques and software related to sparse matrix techniques, network topology analysis, generalized state-status estimation, and fault analysis. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in electric power engineering from the University of Texas (Arlington) and a B.S. in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai, India. Dr. Vempati is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
