Jo Dunning started their career in education as an English Teacher for both Manchester and Glasgow City Council. Later on, they transitioned into the non-profit sector, working as a Press & Communications Officer for The Lesbian & Gay Foundation (now known as the LGBT Foundation). They then moved into project management and communications roles at Reason Digital before taking on the position of Account Director at Nexer Digital. Throughout their career, they have been involved in key campaigns and projects that address homophobia and promote LGBTQ+ rights. They studied at The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1994 to 1997.
