Lou Pugliese

Director at Nexford University

Lou Pugliese is a respected figure in the world of online education, having served in various leadership roles over the course of their 25-year career. Most recently, they served as the Executive Vice President of the University of Maryland Global Campus from April 2020 to November 2020. Prior to that, they were the Chief Executive Officer of UMUC Ventures from August 2019 to April 2020.

Pugliese began their career in online education at Nexford University, where they held various roles from 2015 to 2019. Lou then joined Arizona State University as a Senior Innovation Fellow and Managing Director for the Action Lab at EdPlus. In this role, they were responsible for ASU's efforts to understand, advocate for and enhance the digital learning environment. Lou also served on the Advisory Board for Educate Global Fund from March 2015 to August 2017.

Pugliese's experience and expertise in online education has led him to their current role as Director at Nexford University. In this role, they are responsible for leading Nexford's efforts to provide accessible, affordable and innovative education to students around the world.

Lou Pugliese has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Speech Communications/Journalism from Penn State University and a Broadcast Journalism degree from Pennsylvania State University.
