Sybil Veenman

Ms. Veenman brings over 20 years of mining industry experience both as a public company director and as a senior executive. She currently serves as a Director at Nasdaq-listed Royal Gold Inc., and Director of Major Drilling International Inc. She also sits on the Board of Directors of the Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre in Toronto, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing youth services and support.

Previously, she was Senior Vice-President and General Counsel and a member of the executive leadership team at Barrick Gold Corporation. In that capacity, she was responsible for overall management of legal affairs, extensively engaged in that company’s significant M&A and financing transactions and involved in a wide range of operational, regulatory, political and social aspects of the mining business.
