Elizabeth Maitland has a diverse work experience in the fashion industry. Elizabeth started their career at Burberry as a Trimmings Development Assistant from December 2006 to March 2009, where they assisted in the end-to-end trim development process and approved trim design for production. Elizabeth then moved on to Burberry's Product Development Assistant for Men's BRIT range from March 2009 to August 2011. In this role, they managed various tasks such as analyzing markets, coordinating fit sessions, and liaising with merchandising teams to ensure optimal product allocation.
After their time at Burberry, Elizabeth joined Mih Jeans as a Product Developer from August 2011 to April 2015. Elizabeth reported to the Director of Design and Development, collaborated with different teams, and managed the critical path and seasonal development for multiple product categories. Elizabeth also traveled to European factories to ensure on-time and on-budget product delivery.
Elizabeth then had a career break from February 2016 to March 2019 to be a full-time mom. Elizabeth returned to the workforce as a Product Developer at nexgen|packaging, LLC in March 2019, where they currently hold the position.
Elizabeth Maitland completed their Bachelor of Design (BDes) degree in Product Design from The Glasgow School of Art, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Elizabeth then pursued their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Product Development at Caledonian University, Glasgow, achieving Distinction, from 2004 to 2005.
